Coaching for You

Coaching helps you attain those things that you most desire while avoiding persistent distractions and the fear of moving forward.  Coaching keeps you on track and focused on achieving what you want. People are too often stopped in their forward movement by being overwhelmed with fear: not being good enough; what to do first/next; what if I fail .  .   .  

In my role as a certified professional life coach, I work with my clients to help them understand themselves better; to help them clarify what makes them happy, how they want to live, and what might have to change to get to that desired place. Then we identify small steps toward exactly the life they want. This is a creative process that transforms dreams into reality.

It often helps to begin by answering questions such as the following:  What excites you?  What are you passionate about?  What is your dream, your goal?  Who, or what, puts you most in touch with your dreams and your passion? Who/what supports your process in moving forward?  What do you learn from the times you have failed? How do you measure success in advancing toward your dream? What small step can you take today?

The truth is – everything that comes into our lives starts first with a thought. What we think about comes into being; whether it is something we want or not, we create it with our thoughts, our focus and our intention. Success in attain our dreams and reaching our goals requires work on our part. I have found the following formula to work for me:

We can be a positive force to create just the life we want. Each of these points is important. First ‘choice’, it takes hundreds, maybe thousands, of choices to get us where we want to go. Each choice we make creates an outcome. Make sure yours aligns with your goals. The next point ‘focus’, we need to stay focused on our goals. Because it is so easy to get distracted, what can you use to help keep your mind on your goal? ‘Attitude’, the next point, is key to attaining the life you want. A positive, ‘can do’ attitude is quite possibly THE foundational piece that you can use to keep you on track. Another next powerful tool is the use of ‘intention’ - determination and purpose to move in the desired direction.  Finally, ‘action’ is needed to get the job done. Each of these five steps are important in reaching our goals, though not necessarily in this order.    

Coaching is about helping you to deepen your understanding of yourself and then to move forward towards your goal. As a certified professional life coach, I work to help you to identify how you want to live your life and what changes have to be made for that to happen. Then, I support your process in getting there. I encourage and champion you; I help you to see your life in new and different ways; and I really listen to you and hear you better than you have ever been heard before. I am a positive force and I help my clients make their dreams come to life.
